Happy Birthday to the legendary Hal Blaine (born Harold Simon Belsky 5 February 1929, Holyoke Massachusetts). As part of the Wrecking Crew, Hal has appeared on countless hits from artists like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys, The Byrds, Sonny & Cher, The Supremes, 5th Dimension, Dean Martin, Simon & Garfunkel, The Carpenters, Neil Diamond, John Denver, Barbra Streisand, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Bras, The Mamas & the Papas, and on and on ..... By his own estimate, he has performed on 35,000 recorded tracks over in a quarter century's worth of work.
